Manchester United are reportedly the clear front-runners to sign teenage superstar Jadon Sancho this summer according to the Telegraph and loads of United fans have taken to Twitter to react to the latest transfer update. 

Sancho has emerged as one of Britain’s hottest talents over the past few years after an excellent spell at Bundesliga title challengers Borussia Dortmund. The England international has scored 14 goals and created 14 assists this season with an 84.9% pass completion rate (via WhoScored.com).

Although the Manchester City academy graduate has been constantly linked with a number of leading European clubs over the years, the Telegraph report the Red Devils are leading the race to make him the flagship signing in the summer. United are said to be offering a whopping £200k a week contract for the 19-year-old playmaker which would break the transfer record they paid for Paul Pogba.

The German club’s chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has cooled the recent reports, stating “in my opinion, I don’t think he wants to leave” (BBC).

Whilst some United fans are reacting with utter delight, other Red Devils are urging caution as the club recently missed out on signing Erling Braut Haaland, who opted to join Sancho at Borussia Dortmund (talkSPORT).
