Leicester City bounced back from their shock defeat against Cardiff City by overcoming Everton by a 1-0 scoreline at Goodison Park on New Year’s Day.
As has so often been the case in recent seasons, the Foxes had a Jamie Vardy goal to thank for their three points. However, as well as the goal, Claude Puel will be equally pleased with the fact his team kept a clean sheet.
Although the Toffees offered little going forwards, the visitors remained solid in defence. Jonny Evans, making his first Premier League start since early December, put in a magnificent display against Everton.

The 30-year-old former Manchester United centre-back used all his experience to nullify the threat of Everton’s attacking contingent. The 76-cap Northern Ireland international’s vast experience also makes him an ideal leader and organiser at the back for Leicester.
