da bet7: The new signing had an impressive debut from the bench after a lifeless display from the French striker as Erik Ten Hag's side were sunk by late goals
da betsson: Manchester United were left on the floor by a devastating Arsenal late show on Sunday, but one thing is clear: Anthony Martial's days as the Red Devils' first-choice striker are numbered. The French striker gave a pitiful performance in a very cautious display by United, only for the visitors to look much more dangerous once Rasmus Hojlund came off the bench.
United's biggest signing of the summer showcased pace, strength, aggression and superb hold-up play, everything his new team-mate, who has been at the club since 2015, lacked. Despite their shy approach, the Red Devils went ahead with a stunning strike from Marcus Rashford, only for Martin Odegaard to level 35 seconds after the game restarted.
United were much better after the break, especially after Hojlund came on, and they thought they had won it when Alejandro Garnacho struck on the counter-attack. Instead, Arsenal struck twice in added time through Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus, leaving United feeling distraught. But there is at least hope in the form of Hojlund.
GOAL rates United's players from the Emirates Stadium…
Getty Goalkeeper & Defence
Andre Onana (6/10):
Made 30 completed passes in the first half and looked United's best passer on the pitch. He allowed them to have lots of possession, keeping Arsenal at bay. Made good save from Saka, had bad luck with the deflection for Rice's winner.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (5/10):
Couldn't contain Martinelli for the equaliser. Looked to have fouled Havertz for a penalty but VAR came to his rescue.
Victor Lindelof (5/10):
Made a careless mistake in the first half which he had to rectify with a cynical foul. Otherwise OK before going off injured.
Lisandro Martinez (7/10):
Helped United keep possession in defence and worked well with Onana. Made plenty of important blocks. Came off with an injury just after being booked.
Diogo Dalot (5/10):
His diving header gifted Havertz a big chance. Should have released Fernandes in a dangerous area but misplaced the pass. Can see why Ten Hag wanted a natural left-back in Reguilon.

Bruno Fernandes (5/10):
Not his best game. Did very little in attack and misplaced several key passes.
Casemiro (5/10):
Powerless to stop Arsenal's sweeping attack for the equaliser. Passing was a little suspect.
Christian Eriksen (6/10):
Excellent play to set up Rashford's goal. Could have done better to stop the equaliser but it was also a stunning move.

Antony (6/10):
Did some good defensive work. Not great on the attacking front.
Anthony Martial (4/10):
Barely made any impact on the game aside from one shot, admittedly from a difficult angle, which Ramsdale batted away.
Marcus Rashford (8/10):
Stunning movement and finish for the goal. Also dangerous in the second half. A world of difference when he plays on the left compared to through the middle.

Rasmus Hojlund (7/10):
Showed impressive strength and hold-up play on his debut. Promising for the future.
Harry Maguire (6/10):
Did well under the circumstances but was only comfortable playing long passes.
Alejandro Garnacho (N/A):
Superb composure for his (fractionally) offside goal.
Jonny Evans: (N/A):
Made his first appearance in eight years. Deflected Rice's winner past Onana.
Erik ten Hag (6/10):
Had a strong gameplan, albeit a cautious one. Made good substitutions and was unfortunate to see his side come up short.
